Thailand is one of the most amazing and exotic countries in the world. It is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning temples, delicious food and friendly people. With its vibrant culture, fascinating history and captivating landscapes, Thailand is a destination like no other. Whether you’re looking for an adventure, a romantic getaway, or an unforgettable family vacation, Thailand has something to offer everyone.

Air Canada has just launched a new direct flight from Vancouver to Bangkok. I was able to take the inaugural flight for my very first trip to this beautiful country visiting Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket and Chiang Mai. If you are looking for a little luxury getaway enjoying pool side villas, 5 star dining and next level hospitality then check out my itinerary below!

KRABI

GETTING HERE: An hour flight from Bankgok.

ABOUT: Krabi, on southern Thailand’s west coast, is a province characterized by craggy, sheer limestone cliffs, dense mangrove forests, and more than a hundred offshore islands. Some of its most popular beach destinations include the Phi Phi Islands, which jut from the sea like giant rainforested boulders, and Railay Beach, accessible only by boat and a prominent rock-climbing spot.

STAY: Rayavadee. It doesn’t get more luxurious than this. Rayavadee is located at the tip of the Phranang Peninsula, on Thailand’s Andaman coastline in Krabi Province. Phuket International Airport is 2 hour and 15 minutes’ drive from the resort pier.

Located right on the beach, you will stay in villas in the jungle. With the beach a few steps away and your own private pool you will be living in paradise. As this is the jungle, you can expect to see a the local monkeys hanging around. At one point, two of them came into my villa and treated themselves to the snacks at the mini bar so you will want to keep your doors closed.

Have lunch at the Grotto on site and enjoy the view. Take a dip in the ocean. There is a saying in Thailand that the stare is always warm so be sure to jump in!

Rayavadee, Krabi.

PHUKET

GETTING HERE: A 3 hour drive from Krabi.

ABOUT Phuket province is located in southern Thailand. It is the biggest Island of Thailand and sits on the Andaman sea. The nearest province to the north is Phang-nga and the nearest provinces to the east are Phang-nga and Krabi.

STAY: Banyan Tree Phuket: Enjoy these villas with your own private pool on this beautiful property. The hotel all has a large outdoor pool, gym and many dining options.

Banyan Tree, Phuket.
